Meet me in .... Cancun, Mexico

So I recently went on a trip to Mexico to celebrate my birthday! My two best friends accompanied me to the all inclusive Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa.

This was my first time going to an all inclusive resort. We booked using CheapCaribbean.com and it was pretty seamless. The only con for the trip was there were not many people our age on the resort. We also were probably the only black people there as well which means we were constantly stared at. The staff was excellent, very accommodating, and welcoming.

I’m used to being in spaces where I am either the only young black woman or one of a few. Being the minority is not the issue because I live that every day, but it is always nice to have a fellowship and meet new people who are similar to you in some way. So in the future I’ll do a little more research.

What I Ate

My favorite restaurants on the resort were ChangThai, a Thai restaurant and Portofino the Italian restaurant! We had breakfast at Hacienda the breakfast buffet which even had an omelette station, make your own tostada station, as well as a smoothie and mimosa bar.

What I Did
