Woodmont Grill
Woodmont Grill is probably my family’s favorite restaurant we frequent there for many special occasions and whenever we’re in the mood! I grew up going to Houston’s in Rockville with my family until they closed. Both restaurants are owned by the Hillstone Restaurant group. At first Woodmont Grill had many of my favorites from Houston’s but as time went on they started incorporating different selections on the menu. Now they even include sushi on their menu with two Itamae in house creating fresh sushi dishes. I plan on trying it very soon.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the Spinach & Artichoke Dip my favorite appetizer to order. It’s safe to say if I’m at Woodmont Grill I am going to order the spinach & artichoke dip. Another one of my favorite appetizers are the Crispy Chesapeake Oysters they are so fresh and delicious. They always have a soup of the day and on Friday’s I order the Clam Chowder sans. The clam chowder is so rich and creamy and is garnished with three fresh croutons that are so buttery they melt in your mouth. It’s so amazing I almost forget my manners and scrape the bowl clean.
This Friday afternoon I ordered the Ding’s Crispy Chicken sandwich for my lunch entree. It’s a buttermilk fried chicken breast topped with a spicy slaw, sliced tomato and swiss cheese. It comes with a side of fresh shoestring french fries. These fries are possibly my favorite fries ever, in fact I usually eat those first and might be able to take a couple bites of the sandwich. After spinach and artichoke dip and that delectable soup I’m in need of a to go box!
I couldn’t resist ordering a side of the spaghetti squash to go. I was pleasantly surprised that they prepared it like a dish of traditional spaghetti fresh vibrant tomato sauce garnished with Parmesan and parsley. I can’t remember ever being unsatisfied leaving Woodmont Grill. You’re paying for fresh quality ingredients and excellent customer service. I suggest venturing out to Bethesda the next time you’re craving exceptional food. Have you been to Woodmont Grill before? Do you have any restaurant suggestions in the DMV you think I should try?
